Conflict Management
Do you know your conflict style? How about the others on your collaboration team? Conflict occurs whenever two or more people are together. Conflict is part of the human condition. How we manage conflict on a project can often dictate the difference between success and failure or between an excellent project work product and a poorly executed project work product.

Every group of people creates its own mini-culture within the context of its greater culture. Managing conflict within this new culture is about recognizing internal diversity, minimizing the attributions you have about other people and situations, and averting "conflict spirals" before they become destructive.
During this workshop you will learn your own conflict style and how to work with others with different styles. You will participate in exercises and role plays designed to enhance listening and conflict management skills. There will be opportunity for dialog about real-life conflict situations and how to manage them. You will learn how to recognize and stop a conflict spiral. You will also learn to increase your awareness of your co-workers' world-views so that, while you may not agree with them, your view does not get in the way of successful collaboration.
